Sustainable design is a passion for me, and ugly is never sustainable. I firmly believe that sustainable design begins with carefully thinking about your project and using materials and resources with respect and care. I also believe in using local artisans and responsible vendors whenever possible.

I’m a strong advocate of the notion that there are many ways to professionalism in interior design. I’m proud to be a self taught professional interior designer. I have owned a decorative arts and interior design firm in Seattle since 1991 and have brought my eye for color, finish and design to many of your neighbors homes.

The principals of good design cross disciplines.  The degree in Theater, focusing on design, I earned from the University of Oregon was great preparation for a career in interior design.

I am inspired by the challenge of doing new things all the time. I love taking on a project that includes a mix of elements I’m comfortable with, and a few elements that will take me places I’ve never been before. I have a strong community of talented professionals with whom I collaborate, and I learn something from my clients every day.
